Ok So a while ago I posted that I was planning on building a buggy based on a brute or prairie 700 or 750 motor. A 2002 prairie 650 has popped up on craigslist http://boise.craigslist.org/mcy/1619221996.html now I can use the winch and the engine ecm and controls and part out the rest. My question is how different is the 650 from a 700 or 750 (apart from fuel injection) and how much of a power difference and what can be done to them? Can you put in the tyrx output gear ect? and what can I get from parting out the rest assuming its all in decent condition? thanks ahead of time for any help!

There is a fair difference in pwer between the 650 prairie motor and a 750. But the money you save on buying a 650 you could put into the engine to wake it up a little. I believe the tyrex gears will work in all the engines, may have to change both bevel gears though.
