Hi I live in CA (I know I know) and I bought a 2004 kfx700 from out of state. I am being told I need a vin verification and that the quad needs to have a federal certification label and the emissions label. I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where these are located? Everything seems stock on the quad and I don't think the previous owner removed them.

Thats is where the emissions/vehicle data info is on my 04 Prairie 700. The frame is stamped on the lower frame tube if you look behind the left front wheel. The engine is stamped on the lower of the case I think on one side or the other. Ca do suck. I brought in a KTM 950 adventure some years ago and had to strip all the body work off it and truck it to the dmv to show them the sticker that said ca emissions legal. This is even with the Vin visible and a the manual that stated ALL KTM motoreceles of 2005 are Ca emissions compliant. They threatened to call the sherrifs dept because I questions their stupidity.
