2010 Vacation

Looking for a few opinions on a couple of places to go on vacation this summer. Been to Myrtle Beach the last three years and looking for maybe somewhere different to go this year. Needs to be a beach because my boy loves the sand and water. Been thinking of Panama City Beach and Gulf Shores. Heard alot of good things about Gulf Shores but never been close to there. For anyone who has been to all these places or maybe even Myrtle Beach and Gulf Shores. Which do you like better and why. May go back to Myrtle Beach but looking at other options also.

how much you got to spend?

Puerto Rico was very nice, plenty to do and see

can find some great deals on flights/resorts, no passport needed
Gotta be somewhere I can drive. Mother in law and some more of my wifes family may be going so I need to drive. Like to keep it around 10-12 hours of drive time one way. Usually takes us about 10 hours to get to MB and that is about what mapquest give for Gulf Shores.

That's understandable. If I was going on vacation with the M-I-L I would want a get away car also.

Panama City is nice but more of a party town than anything.Have you ever been to Ocean City Maryland it is nice there and lots of family stuff to do.
Mother in law will be alright. Not sure on some of the rest. I will be in my own vehicle so I can go out on my own. LOL
Ocean City Maryland. The thing with stuff like florida it seems like they are more inshore then on the shore line....
Since you got the old folks (mother in-law)

Try the Outer Banks they are really nice and family friendly
