I have a new to me 2011 BF 750i with 1700 miles and 280 hours. The first big ride I had it up to about 60 mph with no issues. The following day (and to this day), it wont go faster than 30 mph now. I have pulled the CVT cover off and belt seems fine (could be a bit tighter I suppose compared to my snowmobile belt tightness). No belt light or any dash indicators are on. I checked the limp mode switch and it was in the "on" position, which the manual says is the right position. I still haven't found whether or not that is the correct limp mode switch setting, it just seems odd that the "on" setting actually means limp is off. Any ideas on why the machine doesn't have any top range anymore and maxes out at 30 mph?? Thanks!

The issue was found. The owner before me had installed hand warmers in the handlebars and the wire had wrapped around apart of the throttle and was acting as a governor to the throttle. I re-routed the wiring and it work fine now.
