I have a problem with my 2012 Teryx 4 driven clutch. I was traveling at 50 mph and the belt broke leaving me sitting on the trail. I towed home and took the cover off, to find the belt shredded and the outer sheeve on the driven side separated from the assembly laying loose in the cover.

What is suppose to retain the outer sheeve to the hub assembly? Its threaded to the hub but the two washers that retain the hub are a smaller diameter than the outer sheeve? I ordered a new driven assembly from my Kawasaki dealer hoping it would be a new improved version but its the same design. I asked if I could talk to one of their mechanics but they said they were too busy. I bought my machine used from private party.

I hate to put the new $500 driven assembly on and have this happen again. I have found the same issue that a couple of other people have had on the internet, but no solution was documented.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Randy.

Just pulled the cover off my 2015 teryx camo same thing broken. It has had the belt changed before I bought it. I'm thinking whom ever changed it last pried on it and maybe weaken the metal. By the way my belt did not break or come apart.
