Low to mid 4's is very quick.

3's are retarded fast.
anything better than a 4.8 you have a expensive bike and know what tires for what track, It Takes power and you got to get on the ground now and carry it hard the whole way. Any quad.
For our bikes? 5.0 or lower.
Full dressed 660lb. brute force 4x4 with 265lb. rider on hard sandy dirt (Uwharrie) 300ft. 4.79 on motor and 4.37 on NOS This quad is still a multi-purpose quad with nothing taken off. Used at my shop to pull cars, trail rode alot, etc.
so an 820 that runs a 3.97(claimed) is cookin?
LOL, yeah if there is an 820 that done 3.97, that is smoking.

Jeremy Knight took his Fundy 820 chain drive with NOS and turned 4.0 on sand, as far as I know for Kawies, that is the record on here or with timeslip anyway. (not sure though)
Surface makes all the difference in the world. The deep soft stuff really pulls these bikes down because of the weight. Alot of folks say they run a certain time on sand. But, there is a HUGE differance in deep soft sand and a few inches of sand on top of a packed base. That's why unless it's all on a really packed track, asphault, or all done on the same track at the same day, compairing track numbers is alot like compairing dyno numbers. Way to many factors involved to put alot of stock in them. But, they can give ya a ballpark idea and that's about it.
Not sure how deep the sand was, it was in Alabama, I know year before last he said that he broke his chain and the sand pulled so hard that he about threw him over the bars when it did. Not sure how deep it was though. Just saying what I was told
I've only ridden the dunes. Pretty sure it's deep. But it's amazing how the properties of the sand itself make a difference.

Not at all trying to discredit anyone. Just trying to clarify. 3s on any surface and your making power and have a good setup. I was just trying to say very very few OEM frame bikes with stock base motors run into the 3s. Much less being naturally aspirated like Aaron was asking about. If someone did it on a Kawie then all the kudos in the world because they put in alot of work to do it.

Hell on other forums folks will grill ya to death wanting time slips and videos and making sure the track had guard beams, 60ft times, and trap speeds. It's all in fun to me. Mine wont run mid 4s much less 3s.LOL
Big HP atv's run better times on sand no matter the weight...key word BIG HP!
Yep but take a 100hp bike weighing 550lbs and a 100hp bike weighing 250lbs and there will be a huge differance. Now matter what the make or model the bike is. And that differance is exaggerated in soft sand due to it's rolling resistance.
I've seen the same bike running similar times 3.9-4.1) in 4 differect tracks....200whp+ 600lbs atv.
Thats fine but I bet it was quicker on the tracks that had the best combination of less rolling resistance and better traction. Physics is the same all over the world for everyone.
engine ran cosistent 4.2-4.1's, best ever was a 3.97 on the bottle always. bike was strutted on razr2's, so im guessin asphalt, dirt, or hardpack was the surface.
I'd call BS aaron

I can get down in the 4.6's on motor in sand, the few times I've had a chance

haven't really tried any times on nitrous yet

But in less than 30 days :D
On razrs 2's?...I don't think so.
aaron... man you better come up with some kind of prof bro couse thats some far out bullshit there......just sayin
not my bike, just posing a question. gauge is callin glenn to find out some info on a amr top end. monkey may have been told but idk. regardless i know no matter what i wont be the fastest, but i dont wanna get beat by 450's either
