just completed 840 upgrade to my 07 brute, now i hear a knocking noise sounds to be coming from clutch the noise goes away when you give it a little gas, just wondering if anybody else has had thie to happen. also would like to disable belt switch any ideas. thanks

Yes, I've had that exact same thing happen to one of my old Prairie 650s. The primary clutch needs to be rebuilt. When it happened to me, I sent mine off and got the black "shoes" on the ends of the spider shimmed to remove the excess slop and I also got a new bushing inserted under the center bearing of the cover plate. Once I got it back, it ran smooth again with no more knocking sound at idle. I hope that made sense.

thanks, where did you send it to be rebuilt,an about what was the cost,

There are two different guys on here that often work on our clutches. V-force John and Jim (JH Machine Co). I have used both guys at one time or another for clutch work. I suggest that you contact both and tell them about the knocking and ask them what they charge to rebuild your clutch.
