Dont bust the connector, those things are a bear to get off. I usualy end up using a broad flat blade sd to pry it off. BTW, A wise man once told me that its a good idea to store that stock cdi under your seat in that little flat pocket behind the battery.

It's recommended to upgrade your valve springs it you are going to increase your rev limit. The DRZe springs are the cheapest route. One of our Z's has a box on it with stock springs (as far as I know, bought it used) and it's been fine so far.
I carry the stock CDI on mine......vac sealed in a bag.

I have been running a procom for a while now. Bought it used. Thats not to say they aren't junk, I hear alot of bad things but I got a good deal on this, still want a dyna.

Procom are ok. I had one and it's been in continuous use for over 3 years now (it's in another quad in our group now). I have since installed a Dynatek np.

Everyone recommends dyna for the z. I must say I'm not impressed much with the procomm. I notice very little difference between it and the stock CDI with my set up.
