Was there a internal problem that cause this to break? There are two cracks that I can see so for. Bike still run somewhat good, just back fires once I get on it. I want to replace exhaust but want to make sure there’s no internal problem.

Just old age, stress on metal, and rust. Time for a new exhaust

I kinda had a similar problem on my 09 brute. Both pipes had stress cracks. I got both welded up, but eventually replaced the rear pipe/muffler. It just had too many holes. Front pipe still holding up. Replacing rear/muffler much easier than the front and much cheaper. Idk why the front pipe is so damn expensive and no aftermarket options either. I bought the caltric muffler and other than the fact I had to move the rear holes a little bit so it could fit better I couldn’t be happier.

Note! Buy a new exhaust connecting gasket (basically is a carbon ring that goes around where the front pipe slips into the muffler) it’s like $10 and you’ll need it if it doesn’t come with the muffler.
