So I did the belt light reset on my 650 brute force 08 and now I have no headlights and no power to the starter. I tried resetting it again, checked fuses and still nothing. I’ve read about similar issues but no fixes. All of the connectors are back in place, do you think it’s coincidence that the belt light reset did something or possibly something else just decided to stop working at the same time?

Also verify the connectors above the torque converter cover. There are 2 or 3 I think (probably only 2). I had this problem once, brute would shut off and wouldn't start. I started wiggling wires above the cover and found a loose connector, I had to bend the pins a little to make a good contact otherwise it wouldn't start (i.e. press on the green button and nothing would happen) and the headlights wouldn't turn on.
