I was wondering if it is safe to run fuel inj and carb cleaner through your atv. my 06 650 has been spitting up in the carbs and i just guessing that they are dirty. thanks, its been along time since i have been on here!!
Ya its fine...but the carb cleaner alone might not clean everything you need. It will unstick the gunk from old gas and dirt but you might need to take the carbs off, take em apart and blow thru them with some air to clean out all the gunk that the carb cleaner unstuck...
I've been looking for this "Seafoam" apparently it's not sold in Canada and can't be shipped because it's a hazardous material. Does anyone know of an alternative? Is this stuff like engine in can or something? Or just a fuel treatment or conditioner?
its really hard to start and when i do get it started i have to run it half choke till it warms up!! i put seafoam in it but i havent run it enough to tell any difference!! my bro said i need to take the carbs apart and clean them.
if you never have adjusted the valves, may want to check them....hard starting is one of the symptoms
