Dyna CDI Q's

So I put in a pink primary in my 08 650 sra, then installed the dyna cdi box. Who of you all had to re-jet in order to get your bike running right after the box was installed? what size jets were used? Only other thing that would affect the motor possibly is a K&N filter. Nothing else has been done to the bike other than cosmetics. I haven't driven the bike with the box in, but when i started it and let it warm up it didn't seem to be right. Maybe it will be different in gear and on the road. Thanks for any info.

The cdi didnt make your bike run as if you felt it needed to be jetted, the k/n filter is your culprit!
I know that the filter is possibly to blame, but i have had the filter on for over a year. but like i said, i havent put it on the road yet so we will see.
One in while you have to rejet cause of the cdi. What makes you think you need to?
I have been told on hear to put a #4 washers under the needle jet and makes a big differense instead of rejeting.I have a 08 650 sra that i am going to do it on.I only have the Dyne cdi on mine, besides that it is all stock
I got the bike up and running and warmed up good the other night. When I gassed it (standing still and not driving) the bike wanted to cut out and die. seemed like not enough fuel. i know i need to ride it but i cant right now and i know im asking questions that im sure have been answered before on here but i thought i would ask about my particular set-up.
Swap back to the stock cdi and if it runs fine you'll know you've got a bad cdi. It happens a lot more than you'd think.
yeah that would suck. especially when the instructions tell you more than once to check it and send it back if just that happens. i am really hoping thats not the case because i really want to ride with this thing installed, right now.
Im wondering if i should change out the filter back to stock or some other type. then see if the dyna works fine.
When you revved it did you have your air box cover off? if so replace it and try again.

I would bet it has nothing to do with your air filter, unless it is excessively dirty.

I still say CDI
Had one in my 06 Brute 750, had to pull carbs and move the clips up one setting to make it "fatter", in the midrange, did the trick however was a pain in the ass at Higher elevations, I would return it, and get your money back
I got it taken care of saturday. Started the bike, warmed it up, rode it down the street. It was trying to die at idle. Adjusted the idle screw (yes i know that seems too easy) and all is well. got the idle set and it rocks. cant wait to open it up on the trail.

Moving the clips higher on the needle makes it leaner by allowing the needle to sit lower in the needle jet.
