Hi,

I've had a 2008 kfx 450r for a few years now and I've never modified it in any way. Bought it new. I want to ramp up the hp and I've read that I should tackle the 'big 3' first: Intake, Programmer, and Exhaust.

I'm a newb when it comes to this, so I'm looking for something as simple as possible. I'm willing to trade off getting the absolute best component if it keeps things simple for me.

I'm a casual rider--mostly on sand dunes with a bit of trail riding on the side.

Can any of you experienced riders/modifiers suggest which components would work well together for me? I've been reading forums and I've seen so many conflicting and complicated suggestions, I'm not sure what to do. Help!

Thanks!
Dave

Thanks for the tips. Since I'm just learning, I have some follow up questions:

FCI Intake
With box?
KN Style 8 Ply, No Toil Foam, or Foam & FCI Paper Style? (I ride sand mostly)

Programmer
After more reading, I'm seeing people recomming the procom ECU. Should I get that instead of the PC3?

Dasa pipe looks pretty straightforward. :) 1 out of 3 finalized so far...

Thank you!!!
