Vforce John (Interstate Motorsports) sells a kit to replace the brute vacuum operated pump .This should work on the prairie also.Contact him .He is a sponser here.
Fuel pump help
After sitting for quite some time I attempted to get the old 02 prairie running again. It'll fire up with ether in the carbs, but not pull any fuel. I verified that everything is clear but it seems like the fuel pump is not pumping. I've got voltage to it but it doesn't do anything.
A couple of questions:
Has anyone replaced just the pump motor itself instead of the whole unit kawi wants 2 arms and 3 legs for?
Is there a cheaper aftermarket pump available?
Couldn't I just put an electric pump from napa inline and make it work?

Make sure its not a fuse , relay etc...................

I've taken the motor itself off and I have voltage coming to the plug for it that's inside the tank on the pump/guage contraption. I tried spraying and soaking the pump motor and putting voltage to it but I can't get it to do anything.

Try to turn the motor/ pump in some way to give a start it may be just stuck somewhat from sitting..........but it could be bad...........and Yep they are high dollar.........$467.00 about at Babbits.
You might run another thread to find a part out or a good used one someone may have ......... if its bad...............
