Gettin rid of the SRT jeep?
never ended up gettin the jeep....ugh i dont even wanna talk about that...! hahahaGettin rid of the SRT jeep?
I'm thinking all full sized trucks suck at the mileage game....my GMC with "Active fuel management" which shuts 4 cylinders off when not needed, only averages around 13-14 for my round town short trips with some highway mixed in. I did do a 3200 mile trip last summer and averaged 17.1 for the whole deal, which included a bunch of time in the mountains. Not terrible I guess, but unless you drive one speed (under 55) and never start or stop, the mileage is not gonna be stellar. I think my next vehicle will be a VW TDI.The fuel milage is awful somewhere around 14 mpg
Yes sir they do have 4:10's in them..They used the 6 speed tranny to make up for the gas milage.. I have an 07' 5.7 with 4:22 gears in the rear end !! It WILL set ya back in the seat !! So far mine has been the best truck I have ever owned.. And I pull a 29' toyhauler with it.. I average 15 to 17 on the hwy.. About 8 when I'm pulling the camper.. But it does weigh about 12000lb when it's full.. So far I have had 0 issues nor have I had to get ANY warranty work done to it... Just the recall for the pedal..I bought mine when they first went to the new body style. They had 2 on the lot. I drove EVERY make truck out there and after driving the Yota, I went back two days later and bought it !!! The hp is what got me, 381........Not bad....Mine has 3:73 in it....it pulls decent....Only thing big that I pull regulary is my boat which is around 4500 lbs or so. It will pull it nice, but if I want to pull at 70 mph, it gets about 11-12 mpg.
I heard the 5.7 I-Force Tundra had 4:10s in it? can anybody verify? that would help explain the pin ya to your seat accelaration and the not so great hwy mileage.
I am surprised all you guys are saying that you only get 13-14 mpg with your trucks. Mine is much older ('01 Silverado Z71 w/ 5.3L) and I have heavy 33/1250R17 tires/wheels and I average around 13 when I am not pulling my 2-place trailer. I think I get 11 when I am pulling it. It just seems like with all of the newer technology since the 2001 model year that the trucks nowadays should be getting in the 17-18 range.
I did.... It was a joke...
all i can say is go drive one...
