I just bought a JH machine roller from G-rider. Can't wait to try it out. Jim treated me well also, spoke for 45 minutes about clutches and he didn't make a dime off me.

I've been waiting for someone to post some results on the roller clutches. I think people are afraid to even bring up clutches on here. Thanks OHVFORCE.

I posted a complete comparrison several years ago. Not a good idea, turned into a complete Cluster F***.

I've been more than happy with my JH Roller. 3 years on it and zero problems. The best part is it did just what I wanted it too right out of the box.

That's GREAT. It's funny, but that is pretty much the way I pictured him (Maybe a little more hair:p). I've talked to him on the phone several times and he seems to me to be one of the genuine good guys.

In my conversation with him, he said each machine needs its own cut. So he customizes the clutch for your machine and riding style. What he was telling me is if you have a heavy machine like a prairie or brute he cuts the sheaves so the rpm's will stay up on the bottom. For a lighter machine like a V he cuts different to make up for the lighter weights and less machine weight.
All I know for sure is my clutch was cut for a drag prairie and he guaranteed I would be happy with it. Still haven't tried it though.

Jim is a super nice guy. Has given me a lot of advice on clutch's and has never steered me wrong. Hopefully I can get a clutch to Jim this winter so he can build me one.

I gave him my specs. He told me what he was going to do. He told me what weights to run as well as spring with shims. I gave him reasons why I may need a heavier weight. He agreed somewhat. I got the clutch...bolted it on... went to St. A's. I started off with a heavy weight and after 2 days of farting around, ended up with exactly what he said in the first place. I couldn't tell you a damn thing about the angle and specs on my clutch. That's Jim's job. We only talked on the phone for about an hour... 4 TIMES.

First time I called a well mannered, crisp and clear voice said "Hello Jh machine"

"Is Jim there please?"

"This is Jim"

"I'm looking for the other Jim"

"I'm the only Jim here"

NOT at all what I expected. Great guy and forgot more than I know. Thanks Jim.

Thanks guysB) You guys as JH customers Has made this deal what it is as one man one bike cant get the best, It takes different areas, different riders different set ups, different engine builders,.

Its paramount you are hands on to put a product out in the world that satisfies most people and be surrouned by guys that can get er done like the V force azzkiker and other good bikes in the heavies like Grider in drags. Its Paramount to have Duners like Rodger and his duning exploits and expectations.
We specific build these units to liking, I am not the boss you are, I just give you the fastest package, or most manageable as in riding it enduro possible and keep in mind everyone is on the great hunt for more out of this system but try to hit it right out of the box.
I am not large enough in sales That I stll take time in realizing that if were cutting this stuff, I better pay attention to the fine line detail on what these motors are putting out, and how hard are you hooking these things.

Now we have turbos coming by the numbers and these require some things a little different as the power comes on hard and linear ...Lag is a wifes tale and bullshit if set up proper the torque is phenominal out of the gate, you get to wild on the cuts and expect problems.

The coming of the roller is due to what these engine builders are producing as great numbers and saftey offered as the Kevlar blanket (needs) offered as perimiters are way past the scale even on N/A carb motors. It simply overloads every thing and needs to be sturdy and friction free and set up to take the load given out. H/P, rpm spool up, and load dictates the pressure going on in these things. Its kind of scary if all is realized.

I put time in these and been slammed for it, But have it no other wayB) The fastest Machining does not dictate you have the fastest unit for the purpose or application. There is plenty of clutch work for every one and probably room for more:lol:.I save the speed of labor and making money part for the stock type remans for replacement as these all out units do take time but produce really well for you guys and that is what keeps me at it, You the customer and I want you to have the best bang for your dollar and win me some races ...dont care if its a back yard shootout ripping up the sod making the old lady flip out and freaking the neighbors out or the dunes or track.
The V kawie and the Die hards have came a long way and I am proud to be a part of it.
Thanks for the Thread Mark and glad you like your Unit.

Some dont understand why I keep things propertary on what is exactly done different here on the numbers and approach, but It must be kept that way.

Thats good business to me and trust me there is plenty out there willing to get on your bandwagon if allowed on doing these things.
If they want it they can earn it like I did.
If I was selling bolt in stuff I would want everyone useing my product but what I do? a steady flow of doing what I do keeps us on the envelope.
I will be first to admit you guys have put me where its at and we will keep digging to make you better on updates if needed.
Customer service is paramount here at JH I want you fast as possible with my stuff..Thanks again and have a great holidays upcoming and may you stay safe , healthy, and happy. Jim @t JH Machine

I forgot to mention I am from the old school, and a old outlaw and have learned and survived the Hi Performance industry for many years from building engines for some heavy hitters in dirt stock cars and sprints to Blown KB hemis in pulling 4 at a time to building sprint car wings for WOO and the PA. Possi ..Farming is my hobby basicly I just cant stay away from the make it go fast thing...That Damn Monkey outa burn that Pic Im Purdier than that:pornary old cuss he is:D:)
What would we do with out him here on K.R...Some poor guy posted how can I add more power to my Kawie ...Monkey said N.O.S. and thats all Just...N.O.S. Now to most thats not funny ...to me I about fell out of the chair laughing.
Old school sees That as funny chit right there.
(Its like Here, just light that 1/4 stick of dynamite and throw it over in the neighbors yard see if they git up..) But I have strange sense of humor too. Like my old neighbor rocket used to make coleslaw he once took a blasting cap and put in a cabbage and when his old lady walked up to it he detonated it, and Oh my I just flipped clear out. Old school pranks 101
