Im getting my 1994 Bayou 300 ready for a hare scramble in the first of March and I've hit a snag in the replacement of my timing(cam) chain. I've removed the top gear of the timing chain and Im ready to remove the cam chain from the bottom gear. My problem lies with the removal of the starter pulley. I have taken off the pull starter rope assembly and Im looking at the starter pulley. My question is, is this bolt that holds the starter pulley standard threaded or is it reverse threaded. I have used quite a bit of force both ways to remove this bolt without any luck. I think from studying which way the starter pulley spins it should be reverse threaded but I want to make sure before I really go to wrenching on it. Also, any other helpful tips in replacing the timing chain would be of much help...Im doing this timing chain replacement without a repair manual.
