When I was riding my ‘96 Kawasaki Bayou 220, noticed a clunking noise. I looked at the rear end and noticed a small metal box with what appear to be cooling fins just hanging down by a couple of wires. It has a mounting bracket with one threaded bolt hole on it, but I can’t seem to find where it was bolted. Thanks in advance for your replies.

That would be the regulator for the charging system. Id surely fix it before it gets banged around much but I cant help on the where do it go.

Yeah they are always bolted to the frame up high and in the rear.

Thanks. I researched where the regulator rectifier was mounted, and found out that it was mounted on the left side of the airbox. The screw was actually still in the hole. After testing the regulator, it still works.
