FIRST....Goto your User CP @ the top of the page and put up a signature...
that way everyone sees what ya got and they can answer more accurately...
I'm going to venture an educated guess and say your correct with a 180f 182r start point with the mods you have listed...
40 pilots will be fine...
A/F screws 2.5 turns out...I think...someone else will correct me if I'm wrong...
polish your slides...
cut the springs....I forget exactly how much...someone will chime in...
shim your needles....
I think thats it...
GarDog is right.
Cut 3/4's of an inch off the carb springs. 40 pilots are fine. start with 2.5 turns out on the mixture screws. making 1/4 turn changes to see what works best. May need to add a shim under the carb needle to get it really tuned in.

See your in Baton Rouge where you ride at? We mainly ride at SandhillATV in Wiggins, Ms. been to The Dunes in Alexandria a couple of times, but barnet is a nut case...
Thanks!

Most of my tuneing exp has been with meth, lectrons and 2 strokes. Twin thumpers are new to me!!! I always like to get a "feeler" for a good starting point.

We ride alot around my house (sand pits) and we hit Tower Trax alot. I have come from sand dunes (Glamis a few times) and 300ft sand drags....But now I find nothing better than ripping through the woods on my V!!! I will say it has to be my favorite bike!!! Shoot me a PM and we will hook up and go ride.....Thanks again!
Sounds like fun.....I'll be there.
