I have 2 UTVs, both KAWA Mule 4010. One is diesel and one is gas. Just got the diesel last weekend because it was a cheaper deal used. The differences I'm noticing are:
1. Gas goes up hills in HIGH gear, diesel bogs and in most cases needs LOW gear up hills.
2. Gas is quieter, diesel sounds like a little tractor and has more vibration noises.
3. Diesel may pull harder in LOW (more torque) than gas in LOW.
Can any of you folks with the diesel long term tell me the long term benefits? How long did your engine last? I want to get an idea of benefits of each. I'm sure others would like to know too. Thanks.
