Hi guys I got a 2004 Kfx 700. I just bought a new batter for it and outta my stupidity and being in a hurry hooked up terminals wrong. Nothing happened no smoke or fire but I did blow the 30 amp fuse under the seat. I replaced it and now as soon as I hook up the terminals it pops the fuse. i have went through about 5 fuses and don't know what to do. By hooking up terminals wrong did I blow the voltage regulator? I hope i didn't do any seriouse damage i wanna ride.
if you keep blowing fuses, then chances a great that something is damaged!!!!
CDI regulator and a number of other electronic units, anything with a semiconductor in could of blown/popped!!
disconnect all the plugs that go anywhere!!
then put in a new fuse, and it should not blow!!
then one for one plug them in!! till the fuse blows, then have a look at the circuit that you plugged in, you could have more then one issue!!
good luck!!
