Good day all!
I'm servicing a klf 300c and have to adjust the idle mixture setting quite a bit more lean than the workshop recommendation to make it run smoothly.Before adjustment the plug was getting fouled with jet black dry carbon build up.
If I set the idle screw to 21/8 turn open (workshop manual recommendation) the CO measurement is around 7%. Screwing it out another turn gets it down to 2.5%, which seems more reasonable, and the bike runs better.
Revving the engine increases the CO even more.
Does anyone know what the correct CO measurements are and is it normal to adjust the mixture so far off the recommendation to get it running correctly?
I cant find this info anywhere.
