Larger tires on stock rims???

What is the largest tire i can put on the stock rims of a 2007 Brute Force 750 with no lift kit? and any recommendations on tires? i only ride desert, no mud, just sand and rocks. primary coyote hunting vehicle!! i would like a little more ground clearance and bite on the rocks in the Arizona washes. right now i'm running 25x8x12 mudlites all around.

also if i wanted to go to a 14 inch wheel and tire, what would be a good combo without a lift?

i read on a search that a 28x11x14 will work on stock rims and not rub....true?

thank you all very much!

You will be safe going with 28's and no lift but a 28x11x14 will not fit your stock rims, you would need a 14"rim. I think you will probably wanna go with a 26" tire or maybe even 27. The taller the tire the worse it is going to handle.
duh, i wasn't thinking when i put that 14" on the end. i was looking at 14" rims also. thanx for the reply
tires no lift

I had 26" executioners on my stock rims plus 2" wider front and rear with the rubber and had no rubbing issues however it did not really give me much of anything except good tread. I kept bottoming out in ruts and holes so I went 14" rims and 27" tires no lift and still plenty of clearance. Between just going bigger tires and offset 14" rims so there is a little poke it is the best thing I have ever done. My ground clearance is around 13 or 14 inches now in the center.
did you have to use any spacers with the 14/27's?
no spacers

no spacers, I have ITP type 7 series wheels with the ITP XTR tires and they stick out quite far with the standard offset ITP has on their rim. Actually considered fender flares but they are not beyond my fenders to bad. In the front about 1 1/2 inches and about 3 inches in the rear. A tire shop near me has package deals for $550. A friend of mine paid double that a year earlier for 14" ITP rims with 27" XTR tires. I could not pass it up.
Here are my mudzilla's on stock wheels on a pretty much stock Brute. It just barely touches the gastank when your turning left fast.

Tires are 28x8x12 and 28x12x12

I just realized you said stock rims and I posted that one with aftermarket. I've got another bike sitting on stock rims and 29's as well.
the 29's on the pink bike are those 14" rims or what? put the pic up of the stock rims and 29's if you don't mind. that is baddazz! crap if i can get away with putting 29" outlaws on stock rims then i'm golden since i'll save a crap ton of money. show me them puppies...i'm glad you responded
GOT2BRUTE what's up with the different traction in the front ?

you have diff models and they don't seem to be the same size or is it the taller knobby that gives it a bigger stance
Those are 12" rims. I'll have to snap a pic tomorrow of it. Its on the stock 08 chrome wheels.
hmmm red X no pic.... i really want to see it!!!!
Any rubbin

I use mine for just about everything but I have 14" rims and 27" tires but when trail riding I hit some good bumps and the tires smack the fenders, not the plastic but just the flared plastic edges. My shocks are turned as high as they go, anyone tried those plastic 1" spacers for their shocks. I hear they are pain to put on but stiffen the bike up a bit.

THey are both 28" but the fronts are 8" wide and the rears are 12" wide

Sorry should have mentioned that i did a lazyman's before and after, the tires on the other side are the 25" zilla's that i was running before the mudzilla's.
