Hi all, I've got a 2015 PRO FXT gas with a ruined engine that needs to be replaced (it cannot be rebuilt, trust me!). A replacement long block from Kawi is $6K so that's not an affordable option. I can remove and replace the engine myself. I have seen rebuilds on Fleabay for $2.5K. I also see the original engine being sold direct from China for about $600 (+600 shipping or so). Has anybody replaced their engine and used a rebuilder or shipped one in from China? And if so, what has been your experience?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Replacement engine update. I went straight to the engine manufacturer in China. The replacement long block for the KHI product cost $650.00. This included block, head, timing belt, cover, water pump, oil filter, oil pan along with intake and exhaust gaskets. I swapped over the fuel injection, exhaust manifold, drive pulley, flywheel, starter, alternator, belt and various brackets. All very straight forward if you have the ability and tools. I ordered the engine on 9-24, it went into production 9-25 and shipped 9-26. I received the engine by Fedex Freight on 10-6. The new engine is now installed and running great. Shipping from China cost $625.00 to my door. You will need a forklift to unload. A real easy process and so much cheaper than factory or rebuilders. It started right up and so far I am very happy with it at $1275.00 delivered!

I asked earlier and I will try again. Why are all these engines blowing? What is failing?
Maybe this post is suspicious or an extremely rare situation. Not one other post any where online.
My engine blew because the ranch hand was able to drain the oil, but somehow forgot to replace it. 6K from the dealer is a rip, but then again they are tied to tariffs. Go direct and save a bunch, it's not that difficult.

The air filter intake is failing, the adapter is failing, the foam gasket is letting sand in and destroying the engine but no one is talking about it, I just got a new motor installed under warranty because of it. 2019 pro fxt ranch 5800 miles toasted because of the adapter, Kawasaki replaced it and glued the adapter plate in and called it fixed at no cost to me.

Is this the foam gasket that's failing? What/how exactly did Kawasaki glue?

I just called my dealer who has always been very straight fowards with me and mentioned this over the phone. There is a TSB out over it he said. I had my Mule in last year for an oil change and recalls done so I am not sure if its been completed but he told me if its not done, to call him back and let him know and they would do it. Sounds like its more serious then they are letting on. Mine is low usage (less then 200 hours in 3 years) but I can imagine if you use yours daily, the problems this would cause.

Yes the 11061A, The kawasaki dealer did this when they replaced the motor and told me what they were told to do by kawasaki, I wasn't there but they showed it to me. they glued the adapter in and I would imagine without the gasket for a better seal.

You said a TSB out over it, not sure what that stands for.

Technical Service Bulletin. Basically a known issue but they aren't recalling it. But if it seems to be a problem, heres how to fix it.
