Hi all, new to the forum and looking for a little help. I've recently acquired a '95 Bayou KLF400 running well but it's got milky oil. Pretty sure it's the water pump/oil seals so I've got the necessary kit to replace it all. Problem is in removing the front drive shaft. I've disconnected it from the front diff - no problem - but the dang think will not pull away from the front bevel shaft! I've soaked it w/ PB Blaster for the last 2 days, rapped it with a hammer every which way with no luck (fwiw the rear boot of the front drive shaft is ripped and I've another to replace it). What I'm wondering is if I can unbolt the front cover of the bevel gear housing does the front bevel shaft just slip out? If so I'll just take it and the front drive shaft out together and work on them at the bench.

Thoughts?
