So I picked up my new 750 last night.
The finance manger loaded it in my truck for me without me test riding it.

When I went to unload it I noticed that when I shift the gears (while sitting still) they grind a little depending on how fast i engage the shifter into the slots.
The slower I shift into a slot the more grinding noise.

Is this normal.

Have to go back to the dealer to finish some paper work and will ask them just wanted to hear from you guys.

Thanks

In neutral the belt will slightly rotate the secondary so shifting into any other gear stops that movement and will make that noise. It's better to just quickly slip it into gear so as not to wear the tips of the dogs or gear teeth by going slow..if they had synchronizers like cars it wouldn't do that..but they don't and never did so just shift it with meaning.

My '22 did the same thing for the first bit. Everything is new, everything is tight. Gotta give it some time for the belt to "seat in" on the clutch faces. That being said, my belt was loose from the factory and I had to adjust it at 100kms as I was getting a bit of a lurchy start. Adjusted it and it was all good. Only have a little over 300kms on it now, but it goes into gear way better. Like NM stated, jam it into gear quickly to prevent wear on the gear teeth. It'll get better with a bit of use.

I dont think its ever going to be perfect. I shift mine into gear so fast that it dosnt grind. Its just a habit.
