How much oil are we talking about? If you overfilled it or rolled it, a little film in the air box is not that bad. Anything more than that means you need to find out why it's happening. More so if it keeps happening after you clean it out.
If it's blowing some oil, this could be related to your problem with it not running right. You could have some oil clogging up the carb.
