On my 2002 Prairie 650, there is a reverse/forward sensor located next to the oil dipstick on the engine. It's kind of hidden behind the coolant tank. When I remove the sensor from the engine case, oil flows out. Is it normal for this sensor to be soaking in oil? Not too familiar with this machine so I just wanted to make sure. My reverse light stays on and this sensor didn't pass the resistance test in the manual, so I just wanted to make sure that the oil was normal.

Here's a picture of the sensor- I don't have a picture of it installed on the machine and can't find one online. Thanks!
