a few have run them, if I remember they aren't really a good trail shock, more for dunes and such

Trail riding is what I mainly ride, I thought that might be where they may be better.

Thanks!

You may want to check around. Fox aren't bad shocks. They are #1 in the mountain bike world. I think with moderate trail riding, you would be fine with them. Realy aggresive riding might require a rezzie style shock or spring style shock. The #1 good thing about them is if they are too soft, air them up. Too hard, air them down ... right on the trail. Can't do that with spring style aftermarket shocks.

They are very very light both shocks only weigh right at 5 lbs

They are pretty cool you can adjust ride height and softness just with a small pump

For a very aggressive rider probably want to look at something else

For a casual rider they will work great

You don't want those, you want fox float evols. Thats what im running on my race quad and they can't be beat. It's amazing how much difference the shocks made for me. Fox doesn't list the evol for the 700 but the raptor 700 fronts will work fine. You just have to machine the lower mount out some. I love mine.
