I wanna know what setup will work best for my 87 tecate 4. I go to the track every now and then but mainly ride dirt roads and drag race. I just rebuilt the top end. Right now I have a keihin 34mm carb. I was wondering what difference it would make if i put a keihin 36mm carb on or if I ported it and went to a 38mm carb? what low, mid, or high end changes each of those carbs would make? I don't wanna go to a 39 because of all the other mods you have to do. I have a high performance exhaust. What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Noah,

A little port work and a 38mm Mikuni TM flat slide carb worked very well on mine when it was still stock bore and stock stroke. I also ran stock reeds with no reed stops.

What pipe do you have?

It had plenty of bottom end. You should have no problem out running that honda :D
