Rear Shock T4?

Well I read the archives on the Banshee rear shock. Everyone seems to agree it fits after modifying the bushing, but some say airbox must be removed and others don't? Can I run the Banshee rear shock, and keep my airbox or not? I'm not a fan of pod filters...
