This Is the main reason that i made a new air induction lid for my brute closed off the old inlet. I hit the water too fast some said, but I needed the speed to get threw. The next weekend I made it so the lid pulled the air and not from underneath.

I had to pull the plugs and empty the cylinders of the water and drain the clutch and the air box and replace the filter with a dry one.

Thanks for the fix! I appreciate it. yes, I didn't snorkel it, but i did mod the air box lid and close off the lower intake point.

That is what I like about the prairies .I've had my prairie floating across the water and never sucked in any water.New model are supposed to be an improvement .Kwai realy dropped the ball on that one.

Glad you got it running again!

Same kind of thing happened to me and my cousin in his Rhino. Hit the water running and it splashed up over the hood and some got sucked into the intake. PITA to "field strip" it and shove a towel down the intake tube to soak up the water caught in the elbow so we could limp it back home. Smoked real bad, at first, like yours since it was trying to breathe through an area smaller than a straw! Luckily no water got into his engine.
