you can go the Kawasaki website and have the VIN transfered to you, it's what I did. You'd basically be saying that you are now the new owner, you print out a transfer of ownership form, send it in to Kawi with a bill of sale and they will send you a 'Transfer of Ownership" document.
In the end it really doesnt matter as the Bill of Sale is your proof of ownership and no ones looking for a 20 year quad.

This actually worked? Cause I have all the legal documentation to register it, but it'd be pretty rad if I can get another form of ownership, especially one as an official kawasaki ownership document.
Guess that came out wrong, meant to say that it's less likely that anything stolen 20 years ago is actively being searched for.If mine was stolen I would be lookin for it.
