As of last night, I became the owner of my first 1988 Tecate-4. I've only wanted one of these for 10 years now and after a hellacious drive to ME and back, 730 miles later....here she be.

Just a couple of pics for reference.

Runs and goes GREAT. Just needs a couple of body panels as you can see. New front tires as well. I'm looking into getting another set of pure sports bandits but in the mean time these should hold me over. I'm just looking to clean this one up and get it new and factory fresh. Hopefully rockhound will reply to my PMs and get me some parts on the way :D
How much did you pay if you dont mind me asking?
Your gonna have alot of fun with it.:rock::rock:

Dont mind at all. I paid $1,700 for it. Mainly because of the fresh motor work and MOST of the original pieces were there. And believe it or not, finding these with original paperwork so you can legally register them is quite tough. More often than not, people were selling these with either no titles, or no previous registration. Makes it tough to put on the road.
I understand. I'm in the process of restoring one, just checking to see what they are going for to make sure I wont be in the hole. I bought it from the original owner, who can't find the title, but he knows he has it. I have no plans of selling it though.
