Went back out on the ice Saturday

I went out on the ice on another local lake Saturday for some play riding and some drag racing again. It was a bit warm and slushy on top of the ice but we still had a good time.

I didn't take any pictures but another person there with a stretched out drag Banshee took a bunch. His wife did most of the runs with it and the tires were way too small. She hadn't ever been on the ice with it before and was borrowing my other friends 18" spiked tires. She should have been running at least a 22".

I am only in a few of the pictures in this link (about in the middle) but shouldn't be hard to pick out since I am the only Kawie there.

Looks like a fun time...but definitely too COLD for me. Thanks for sharing the pics.

So could the banshees actually keep up with the snowmobiles? I'm guessing no, but its just a guess.

I was actually pretty warm. I think it got up to 38 or 39 Saturday. A lot warmer than the last time I was out. It was 24-degrees and windy that time.

The drag Banshee could keep up with the sleds or even beat them since we were only running around 300' so we had enough time to slow down before a huge slushy area. Hit one of those on a quad at too high of a speed and it could throw you over the handlebars.

I was very please with my V Saturday. I was usually neck-n-neck with my friend's blue Banshee (with the skis) and sometime would even chase him down if he got ahead of me at the start. The green one wasn't any competition at all. I usually beat him by at least 50'. I think was starting in 1st gear and just blowing the tires off at the line which is surprising because he was also running tires with snowmobile studs.

That drag Banshee started twice in the same spot and left 2" deep grooves the width of the tires in the ice for about 20' because she was spinning them so bad.
