Been out of the racing for awhile now. Looking to maybe start back up. I own a Can Am 800 outlander at the moment. It's a turd.

What the bike of choice anymore? Is the can am faster? Or can still nothing be hardly done? I always had luck with the Kawies but know times change.

So if I wanted a stupid fast utility bike I could still possible take out on a trail what would be the right choice?

I thought maybe just build another vforce. Guess I will look at everyone's input.

I haven't been around lately either, but its hard to go wrong with ole Kawie! Would love to build me another SRA ute. I have 07 Brute SRA in my garage, needs a topend thought about building another but you know how it is.

Watched it run at the Battenfelder drags, it's fast. Ran down an R1 powered drag bike. He redlit for the loss in the final but had a better ET.

I had a chance to ride the new Polaris 1000 Scrambler. In stock form I would have to give it the nod for the quickest and maybe even best handling utility. Of course there isn't jack for aftermarket parts available yet so if you want to ride modified you're still left with Kawi and Can Am

Zmann now owns two chain driven v forces that have been 4.1's.

There is a turbo outlander here in Louisiana that has been 3.8's.

That's pretty much where they are for now.....

I don't know about current drag racing scene, but I can tell you that the local XC series where I race has seen several Pol. Scramblers (both 850 and 1000 models) this year. They seem to be popular right now along with the Can Am Renegade 1000. I was the only Kawie in the ute class this year (until my accident in the June race). I'm happy to report my KFX730 usually ran side by side against those bigger quads to the first turn (unless traction was an issue on the starting line). Luckily, a fellow XC racer (and now a KR member) bought my KFX730 and will hopefully carry the Kawie torch to victory in the ute class next year.

I'm really not sure if the Scrambler 1000 will do well in drag racing b/c its so heavy.

Instigator has the fastest utility I've seen that runs drags. I can't beat him. His 765 all motor vs. My 730 with 30 hp shot and he still beats me.
