Finally had a little time this past weekend to put the pictures together. There are quite a few so I cropped them down from around 150k to 30k so it'll load faster.

Swingarm Bearing Installation

I recommend anyone who rides in water to go ahead and change the bearings before you have half your day ruined as I did. I had no warning signs that this was about to happen. We were blasting uphill wide open jumping rain ditches as we went. By the time I got to the top, the right side bearing had disintegrated. The left side looked like this when I got it out.

Excellent How-to, Kevin! Thanks for posting. I hate that this bike doesn't have any grease fittings on it. While bleeding my front brakes tonight I was thinking that there needed to be zerks on the top and bottom of the front spindle, and on the a-arm pivots. and on the steering stem, and the.....on and on.....

Did you use anything to seal that freeze plug? I've got bearings on order, I would like to install the freeze plugs and zerks when i do mine.

V800 - Nothing special about the grease fittings, you can buy a package of them at Advance.

Bandaman - Freeze plugs are a tight fit, I don't see anything getting by them.

Eyedoc - You can link from the spring chart that is pinned

Docpoof - if your bearings look as bad as mine did, you're going to want to new races also. You can put a socket in through the hole where the driveshaft goes and then insert a long extension into the socket. Place the socket end against the race from behind and tap the extension with a hammer and the race will pop out.
