I've researched the same question and haven't found a good answer. On my old Rhino I added a second muffler after the stock one. It made it quieter.

 

I bought some silver insulation for a house or RV af Ace. Covered all the plastic inside the engine area. The engine noise was reduced but still looking for a muffler to help. Thanks.

 

BENZ makes pretty good silencers for most makes. Check ebay. Got one for my Z800. Helps a lot.

 

That sound was a main reason for buying a Pro FX over a Polaris. A great sounding engine!

 

Lol, I actually like it too. It sounds like it has guts lol

 

Everything else I have is diesel. This engine is SUPER quiet already for me! ;-)

I need to update the post I started a couple of weeks ago about the same issue. Mine has an exhaust drone that I want to be rid of. I've tried a number of things to quiet the cab to no avail. I'm convinced its the muffler and the only solution is to put something different on. Adding one of those extra mufflers may work, but there are none for the Pro FX/FXT yet.

I spent a lot of money to put a hard cab on this thing only to find that I hate to drive it now because of the stupid noise. There is no good excuse for Kawasaki to put this out to market this way. I called the dealer who was going to contact Kawasaki, but no word back from them yet. I don't expect anything at this point.

I bought this machine for my wife and I to explore mountain roads around our cabin in WV. I could live with the engine noise, but the drone sucks. If not for this problem, the mule would be great for us.

 

Might try some Dynamat on the aluminum heat shields above and in front of the engine compartment. That is my plan at this time. This product worked good on floors of 60-70s muscle cars to reduce heat and sound.

I am just living with it. A friend of mine owns a muffler shop and he put another muffler on the end of mine just so I could hear the difference. Wasn't enough to add.
